Midea M-Thermal Nature Mono MHC-V14WD2RN7-BER90 R290 Monoblock Heat Pump 14kW A+++/A++
R290 M Thermal Nature Mono
Capacity: 8-16 kW
Flexible heating, cooling, and domestic hot water with the M thermal Nature: This heat pump, capable of producing hot water up to 80°C, offers a wide range of applications and is an ideal replacement for outdated heating and hot water systems. Thanks to the option of combining up to six units for a capacity of 49-96 kW, the system is also suitable for large buildings. Furthermore, its cascade capability with various heat sources allows it to be used as a hybrid system.
All in One
Heating, cooling, domestic hot water with up to 80°C hot water
Energy efficient
EU energy efficiency class A+++ at 55°C/35°C water temperature thanks to DC Inverter technology and natural refrigerant R290
System Safety Design
Electronic control unit as well as cooling and water system are protected against interference and external influences
One-Stop Solution
The M thermal Nature heat pump enables heating and cooling throughout the house and can be easily combined and controlled with other energy management components thanks to the Midea Nature series.
High efficiency
Thanks to DC inverter technology, the M thermal Nature heat pump achieves EU energy efficiency class A+++ at 55°C/35°C water temperature and combines ecological requirements with economic efficiency.
Thanks to the excellent thermodynamic properties of R290 and advanced heat pump technology, M thermal Nature delivers high performance even in cold conditions with only a small amount of R290. R290 is a high-purity propane with zero ozone depletion potential (ODP). Its low GWP value underscores its environmentally friendly properties, supporting EU climate neutrality.
System security design
The safety design includes explosion protection for the circuitry and wiring, as well as a fully enclosed electrical control enclosure. The refrigerant and water system features antifreeze detection in the plate heat exchanger and separate maintenance access for the cooling and hydraulic systems.
electric heater
An electric heater with a capacity of 3 or 9 kW is integrated directly into the heat pump. The electric heater ensures an independent power supply and serves as a backup heat source in case of heat pump failure. It also provides additional frost protection.
Highlight features
Freeze protection
If the temperature of the water flowing through the system drops to a certain value, the unit heats the water, either using the heat pump, the auxiliary heater, or an additional heat source. The frost protection function only switches off when the temperature rises to a certain value.
Vacation mode
For holidays, the "Holiday away" function can be used to protect the unit from frost damage, depending on the current climate. When this function is activated, the unit operates in heating or hot water mode at a lower target temperature for the set period.
Floor protection
For newly installed underfloor heating systems, the floor drying function helps remove moisture from the concrete slab and subfloor, preventing warping or cracking. The preheating function ensures that the water pipes in the floor are heated slowly during the first use of the heating season, reducing the risk of damage to the floor and the pipe system.
defrost function
By monitoring the ambient temperature, the temperature of the heat exchanger, the water temperature and the compressor runtime, the heat pump can perform an intelligent defrosting program to recover heating power and thus avoid heat losses through unnecessary defrosting.
High-performance heating
60°C hot water down to -25°C outside temperature only with heat pump.
80°C hot water from -10°C to 15°C outside temperature only with heat pump.
80°C hot water from -25°C to 35°C outside temperature thanks to a heat pump with integrated electric heating.
Particularly quiet
Reduction of noise source volume through:
Optimization of the compressor components, the low-frequency duct and the large, curved and very quiet axial fan
•Optimized cable route
•Silent mode of the heat pump by lowering the compressor and fan frequency for quiet operation (2 stages)
•Silent mode of the water pump, which adjusts the maximum internal water pump power to reduce the noise of the heat pump
Easy to use
The permanently installed control unit features an integrated tempered glass panel with a metallic frame and a 3.5-inch color display. It offers an immersive user interface with a standby mode. Homebus communication is possible via a 2-wire non-polarized cable; the control unit also supports the Modbus protocol, has over-the-air (OTA) functionality for remote updates, and built-in Wi-Fi.
The operation of the heat pump can be monitored and controlled anytime and from anywhere via the convenient SmartHome app.
Smart features
Backup function
If some sensors fail, the intelligent algorithm uses the data collected by other sensors for a virtual sensor simulation of the faulty sensors and simultaneously notifies maintenance, so that the device can continue to run for a short time until maintenance is performed.
Automatic temperature setting with climate curves
This function automatically regulates the water temperature based on the outside and room temperatures. Eight preset standard climate curves and one customizable curve cover common applications and meet diverse requirements.
Energy recording
The energy measurement function is capable of calculating the proportion of energy derived from renewable sources. End users can obtain customized energy analyses via a user interface, an app, and a web portal. The core algorithm: compressor power calculation.
Automatic switching between heat pump and additional heating source
Automatic switching between heat pump and additional heating source according to economic considerations (gas price, electricity price) and to achieve maximum system efficiency.

Important NOTE!
The installation and commissioning of the equipment must be carried out exclusively by qualified personnel. If no such proof is provided, all warranties and guarantees will be void.
Technical specifications subject to change without notice. Errors and omissions excepted. Subject to prior sale. Image may differ from actual product.
Refrigerant leaks contribute to climate change. Refrigerants with a lower global warming potential (GWP) contribute less to global warming in the event of a leak than those with a higher global warming potential (GWP). A leak of 1 kg of this refrigerant would therefore have a greater impact on global warming than 1 kg of CO2 over a 100-year period, proportional to the refrigerant's GWP value. Do not perform any work on the refrigerant circuit or disassemble the unit – always consult qualified personnel.
